If you are between the ages of 17-25, we invite you to apply for a scholarship to attend the convention. We know that the world you are inheriting is deeply flawed in its capacity to provide for basic human needs to all people. It’s imperative that your voice be heard as we work together to define an economic system that supports our vision for a sustainable future.
WHAT’S INCLUDED: The scholarship will cover the $365 conference fee, plus a $200 stipend to be used toward other expenses related to the convention.
HOW TO APPLY: Send your name, age, contact information, along with a short essay (described below) to youthscholarships@economicdemocracyadvocates.org

  • Applicants who did not attend our 2017 conference in Asheville will write no less than two paragraphs and no more than a single page, addressing these two questions: (1) Do you have any academic or practical work experience in economic or environmental issues and if not, what is the source of your interest in these topics; (2) how do you envision participation in this convention will impact your future?
  • If you were in Asheville last year: (1) we would like to hear how that event impacted you personally and in the work or studies you’ve undertaken since then; (2) how do you envision your participation this year will influence your personal and professional future?
NOTE: The 2018 convention will be very different from what you experienced last year. We believe it will further broaden your perspective and better prepare you to expand your role in this increasingly complex and challenging world.
DEADLINE FOR APPLYING: April 10, 2018. Applicants will be notified of results by April 15, 2018.

We look forward to seeing you in Philadelphia!
