Economic Democracy Advocates (EDA) is a privately funded, nonprofit, 501 (c)(4), tax-exempt grassroots action and education foundation dedicated to legislative action to preserve common resources necessary to ensure human survival. Note: Donations to EDA under this nonprofit status are not tax deductible.

A group of elected trustees oversee the organization. Our role is to ensure that our efforts stay on purpose, that principles of open democracy are employed as much as is reasonably practical, and that we meet all relevant legal requirements. The trustees hold the final authority for all operations of EDA.

We aim to be as open, non-hierarchical and democratic as effectively possible.  Those who do contribute to our efforts are invited to help chart its direction. As a Commons, EDA belongs to everyone who wants to contribute to it and make good use of it.

All of our materials are protected under Creative Commons licenses making them freely sharable as long as their source is acknowledged and prior approval is obtained for any commercial use of them.
